Artist's Comments

Hi all

Here's a new article to break the monotony of learning the phography basics. This is one is of "intermediate" level and is, in fact, a photoshop tutorial.

Brief:

You have a camera that won’t accept an Infrared filter? Or maybe it’s that an infrared filter is too big of an investment at the moment?

Relax. Photoshop is here to help. Let’s see how we can turn a regular color photograph into an infrared wonder.

Enjoy! and please leave us comments if you found this helpful or if you have advices for us.

This was very simple to follow. I tried it out with some old shots I had taken. The results were pretty neat. I love this tutorial. Thanks a lot you guys. Keep up the awesome work.

Interesting. I think it would be nice if you included in the tutorial the same picture in three formats: original in color, original with IR filter, fabricated IR. This way it would be really easy to see how good is the method...

Wow great technique...I bet that saves a lot of money on the special ir film, and visual light blocker...Thanks!

Yes, I wish I could have done that too. Problem is I don't have a real IR filter :D

Thanks for the comment.
